Lost for words

In writing a tribute to remember one of the most towering figures that I had the pleasure of meeting, I find myself at a loss for words. Briefly, Amir Ali Karim’s successful journey in leading LFT towards global recognition was principally driven by three factors. First, he was driven by his belief in serving mankind, irrespective of religious affinity or ethnicity. Second, he nourished a strong sense of personal morality till his very end. And finally, he showed the wisdom to rise above himself as he repeatedly ascribed LFTs success to the support of donors, volunteers and ultimately the larger than life personsality of Bibi Fatima (A.S.)

Sincere believer

I came to know Brother Karim through the charity work I am doing in 2005 or 2006, when he asked my organization to implement a project as he had received a donation specifically for one of the beneficiary groups we work with. From then on, LFCT has generously supported our work, enabling us to help thousands of individuals. Medical Assistance alone helped more than 9000 patients to regain their health. Brother Karim was one of devoutest individuals I have known and he especially believed in Bibi Fatemah (as) helping him and guiding his work. In late 2016, he messaged me on whatsapp saying that he "has a tumor in his stomach". Later, he would always answer "I am fine with your du'as and those of thousands of others." when I inquired how he was. I believed his words. After his passing, I heard that he was convinced to the end that Bibi Fatemah would help him. And I think she has. She would not let down anyone. However, it was time for him to join her. We, who were inspired by his dedication and untiring work, will continue his work. This is how Bibi Fatemah (as) allowed him to stay in this world while at the same time calling him to be with Allah and with her.
